With this project, our goal is to visualise the exploration of Antarctica and with it the race to the south pole through data. It takes you on the journey south going further than anyone has ever gone before and tells you the stories of the heroic exploration parties heading towards this unforgiving land. The decades of historical data are explained through interactive visualisations inviting the user to further explore the exploration.
